More Dtrain

Time for a quick extra post while D sleeps in the ergo on my chest (not so subconscious worry about him sleeping too long and missing a feeding, not good since his weight gain isn't where it should be, so maybe there is problem with my milk supply? But he pukes a lot so we have him on zantac per our pediatrician-but is that totally safe for babies?)
My life is like this...barely existing on the surface while the parenthetical of constant worry about everything basically rules my head.

But enough about my shortcomings as a are some pics of D...happy times with Nonna and Aunt Mary in town!

Parenting: or an exercise in you can't win

Dman is turning into a super awesome dude. Just in time for me to go back to work. I wish my maternity leave had started at the 6 week mark. Or, I wish we were a more progressive country in terms of giving parents a more reasonable amount of time off.

Luckily, I have had the good fortune to connect with an uber cool mom (Scrappy O'Grady) to share a nanny. However I also have paralyzing fear about leaving the Dman with--effectively--a stranger. Daycare, nannies, they all have their plusses and minuses. And honestly, I don't want to be a stay at home mom. At the same time I feel crushing guilt about that.

Oy. Why do people do this?

Oh yeah, this is why:

Never too early

The Durango peeps (of chez Compton fame) sent D his first team kit. Oh my awesome. He was so excited he wouldn't sit still for photo shoot. Kit had pockets and snaps for diaper changes.

Look out Strider class punks! Dman is going to be ready lay the smack down. Hope USADA doesn't figure out whats in his bottles.

Friends and fam making the world go 'round...or at least remain in orbit

Zia Meme has been a massive help  during our visit. She is making sure shit doesn't get out of control (getting new appliances inside before rainstorm!) And solving xfile issues (getting our olive oil gift from JJ and Tom's Italia trip open).
This morning she took a 5 hour shift so the hubs and I could try to get some uninterrupted sleep. Wow, amazing! Of course its funny how at this point getting more than 2 hours of sleep almost makes you feel worse...

We had some key visits from J9 and Lizzie the past few days during the witching hour (3 pm is the call to terror in our house)...they just rocked and jiggled the mini jihadist into submission providing some much needed sanity.
The hubs also stepped in so Zia Meme and I could go for a ride. It was the maiden voyage for the BH (my racing bike) in 2012! Meme wanted to see the Cathedral of the Madeleine so we stopped there on our ride. Pretty impressive.
